Disneyland News 2013 - Holiday Magic at DisneylandDisneyland is already a place that inspires a sense of wonderment. Going to Disneyland during the holiday season is an extra special treat. The holiday season at the park begins with festive decorations. The rays from the warm sun do not put a damper on the cheery merriment of seeing twinkling Christmas lights and other traditional decorative touches.

Because this is Disneyland mere decorations are not enough. Disney has unveiled several holiday themed attractions to enchant and enthrall guests.

World of Color Winter Dreams

A must see is the amazing World of Color Winter Dreams show. This light projection fantasy begins with the Virtual Honor Choir singing a song called Glow. Choir members float through the air inside of snowflakes. The host of the show is Olaf, the star of Disney’s animated film Frozen. Olaf is a goofy snowman that is hard not to like. This show includes other popular Disney characters, dazzling animation and wonderful music.

It’s a Small World Holiday

Disney’s most beloved ride gets the holiday treatment. Visitors are treated to an entertaining holiday themed projection outside of the ride itself. Hop in the boat and head inside to enjoy the voices of children singing popular holiday songs. Float along and admire the giant candy canes, nutcrackers, toys, windmills, flying carpets, dancing children and more. This ride is a marvelous celebration of Christmas around the world. Oh, and the familiar small world song is still heard throughout the experience.

Jingle Jangle Jamboree

Who doesn’t like a good old-fashioned country hoedown?

Bring the kiddies along to enjoy a celebration of holiday music at this fun Jamboree. Those lovable bears are ready to cut the rug with any child willing to join in for a dance or two. Thunder Ranch is also a great place to run into Mickey and his friends.

Christmas Fantasy Parade

Disney is famous for its parades and their holiday parade is certain to delight both young and old. This parade is performed during the day and evening. Disney’s fantasy parade features wholesome holiday music as an assortment of characters walk, dance and gracefully float along the parade route.

Special highlights are the marching nutcracker soldiers, Goofy’s gingerbread house float, the princess float and Santa Clause.

Disneyland is a great place to be during the holiday season. The Magic Kingdom becomes even more magical when it is filled with holiday cheer and celebration.
